Well, Henry was a whole lot of fun this episode, wasn't he? I know I said that it looked like he was going to be a little…shall we say, harsher, this season, but I didn't expect his asshole side to come out this quickly and this fully! His wound looks incredibly painful – I'm not surprised that he's more unpleasant. I have a feeling this peasant rebellion is not going to go well. Obviously Henry, and by extension, Charles, is lying to them with every promise made. The sad thing is, I feel like Charles actually sympathizes with these peasants and feels really bad that Henry is not even willing to consider appeasing his subjects. He's going to end up getting caught between being loyal to his old friend and sovereign, whom I think he genuinely cares for, and his sympathies with the English people. I hate that Henry tricked the rebellion leaders into coming to court – this can't end well. I wish we had seen more of Jane these past two episodes. Still, I have liked what I've seen. I think it's interesting that Henry told Jane that he loved her more than he loved Anne, or Katharine. I don't actually believe that's true – I think he pretty much lost his ability to love after being "betrayed" by Anne. Now I think he simply uses people. I also thought it was interesting that Henry cautioned Jane, reminding her of how he dispatched of Anne. It's clear he doesn't want a partner in marriage; he only wants a faithful woman who will give him sons and keep her mouth shut.I'm sad that Peter
