Lil Wayne shot dead in New Orleans? Lil Wayne dead? Died?

monacomeIs Lil Wayne really dead? That’s the question on most everyone’s mind after news that Lil Wayne, otherwise known as Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., famous American rapper, has been shot dead in a gang war. The internet is currently swamped with searches for news about Lil Wayne’s death in what Google Trends can only classify as volcanic. But what’s the truth? Is he really dead? I’ve tried reading some of the blog entries about the subject but they all say it’s just a rumor, probably perpetrated by someone with nothing better to do, through text messaging. On the other hand, I read an entry on Yahoo Answers that said the news of Lil Wayne’s death was broadcast over the radio. Now, if it was worthy enough to be on radio news then it’s probably true. I’m confused. Still waiting for the truth about Lil Wayne’s death to come out. If it’s just a rumor, then his millions of fans around the world can breathe a sigh of relief, and curse the perpetrators of this nasty hoax to the high heavens. I cannot really consider myself a
fan of Lil Wayne though I sometimes find myself dancing in my seat to the beat of his music as it played on the radio. This is a nasty rumor (if it is a just a rumor). A few days ago, it was on the net that Katt Williams died. Who’s next? Obama? McCain? Palin? But then again rumors about someone’s death may not be all that bad. In our neck of the woods, if you’re rumored to have died and it turns out to be false, superstition dictates that it will result to a longer life for the victim.
